Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born and bred singer. Her birth date was the 25th of December in 1954, at Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name of her parents. Lennox was a flute, piano and harpsichord at the Royal Academy of Music London for three years during the 70s. She was able to survive with the stipend she received from her students and work part-time jobs. Lennox made the decision to alter her career path when she was dissatisfied with her inexperience and lack of talent comparison with others Royal Academy students. Lennox was initially a flute-player within the band Dragons Playground. However, she left before the band was requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent competition New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist for The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977-1980. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later form Eurythmics. Lennox then went on to record her debut solo album Diva. It was released in 1992. The album was hugely successful both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennox's 6th solo album came out in November of 2014. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favourite blues and soul jazz tracks from her early years. Additionally, in May 2019, Lennox has released Lepidoptera an album of four piano pieces that she improvised. This E.P. The first single from her debut album"Now I'm Letting You Go... is an accompaniment to her installation of work in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox is a Scottish artist and singer born on December 25, 1954. The Tourists were a new-wave band that achieved some success in the late 1970s. Later, Lennox joined fellow artist Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox's debut album in 1992 Diva was a huge success, featuring a variety of songs, including Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is her studio album from 1995. The album features covers of some songs, including"No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums of her own as well as a compilation album, are to her credit.
