Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5, 1956, in Woodland Hills California. Her father worked as a school teacher and her mom was an at-home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick started dancing and singing at an early age and frequently performed puppet shows in front of children in her area. In the year she turned six, McCormick was crowned her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her to ask whether she was keen to work in show business. McCormick got her first big job in 1964 when she appeared in a TV commercial featuring Mattels latest doll, Baby Pattaburp. A year later, she starred for another company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was soon chosen to play the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was one of 1200 children for the part of the eldest towheaded daughter in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom featured Florence Henderson and Robert Reed newlyweds, who shared the same family as a blended one. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published in 2008, McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the show she almost lost the love of her life to her brother Barry Williams. The actress was sixteen years old, and the actor 19, at the moment. The two of us could have been in a relationship, said she. The timing, however, wasn't right.
