JenniferJennifer always longed to be a multi-tasking superstar. Jennifer was a lover of diverse music styles as a kid, including Afro-Caribbean music styles like salsa, merengue, and bachata. As an adult, her most loved genres were pop music that was mainstream, R&B, and hip-hop. She loved music but was also fascinated by the world of film. West Side Story, a musical written by Rita Moreno (1961), was her most significant source of inspiration. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer, besides being entertainer as well as a Catholic schoolgirl, attended eight years at Holy Family Catholic Middle School in The Bronx. After a four year stay in the Bronx, she graduated from Preston High School, an all-girls prep school. Jennifer was a skilled athlete who participated in track and fields and tennis at school was also an outstanding student. It was the Castle Hill neighbourhood was her place of residence for the bulk of her time. When she was 18, Jennifer moved out of the home of her parents. Lopez could work in a law firm in this time, while taking up dancing at night.
